Spicy Note

Spicy fragrances bring energy, warmth and personality to a perfume. From the bright bite of pepper to the comforting warmth of cinnamon and the distinctive character of cardamom and saffron, spicy notes can take a composition in many different directions.

Spice notes are rarely used in isolation. They are often paired with woods, amber, vanilla, florals or resins to create fragrances that feel warm, sensual, vibrant or intriguingly dry. There is no single definition of a spicy scent. Some fragrances are dry and peppery, others are warm and sweet, while some have a fresh, aromatic edge.

Cinnamon and vanilla can create a rich, comforting character, while pepper and cardamom can add brightness and movement. Saffron, clove and nutmeg bring their own distinctive facets, making the spicy family remarkably diverse.
